Check out this quote from an article I read. The article put forth some good arguments for why corporal punishment doesn't work, but this quote nullifies all credibility the article had up to that point.
"High levels of corporal punishment are also associated with problems that crop up later in life, including diminished ability to control one's impulses and poor physical-health outcomes (cancer, heart disease, chronic respiratory disease)."
Spanking your kids causes cancer? I guess everything but cancer causes cancer. I have a theory on cancer also. Eating food causes cancer. Everyone that has had cancer has eaten food. If we stop eating food, no one will get cancer. Problem solved – next.
