I've finally entered the gaming console arena. Some of my good friends went-in together and bought me a Xbox 360 (with Forza and Ultimate Alliance) and a game (Rainbow Six: Vegas). I also borrowed a couple games from Ray (Top Spin 2 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted). I've been playing in my spare time and it's been fun. I hadn't been playing any games lately because I didn't have any to play...until now.
I'm finding myself getting addicted to Hexic HD. It's "the next puzzle hit from Alexey Pajitnov, the original creator of Tetris®." It is something I can sit down and play for 5-10 minutes and stop too. I don't have to try to win a race, beat a player, finish a map or anything like that. I can sit down and play as long as I like and it's challenging. I've also been playing Need for Speed and Top Spin on and off. When I have some time, I might sit down and play some Rainbow Six or Forza. Salve and I played Ultimate Alliance the other night together for something fun and different.
Like previous semesters though, my game time is limited by the amount of homework I have to do before the next class. Luckily, I don't have class every day or homework every night, but I have enough to keep me busy when I'm not working, playing with Chloe, talking with Salve, fixing something to eat or doing chores around the house. Right now the system is hooked up with the other components in the living room on the old 36" standard tube TV. I have my 19" LCD Monitor/TV that travels well for those overnight trips where I need something to entertain me. It is a great combo and fits in small places, plus it's a 720p TV, so the images are crisp, even if they aren't terribly big. When we finally get that HDTV Salve's promised me, I'll be really loving it. ;)
