Equality, where is it?

In the news, yet another case of a woman teacher having sex with minor boys: link. If this were a male teacher having sex with minor girls there would be outrage and crying in the streets. If this were a male teacher he'd be charged with more crimes and there would be demands for severe punishment. Because this is a woman it is perceived as less of a crime.

“Female occurrences of crimes like these are rare.” Are they? Maybe they just aren’t reported as much and aren’t covered by the media as much. Is it less of a crime because young boys “want it.” This is just another example of how the equality of the sexes stops where it's convenient. Disagree? Prove me otherwise!
